Iraqi Network for Social Media Iraq 
NED grantee the Iraqi Network for Social Media led a successful campaign to repeal a draft law in Iraq that threatened to severely curb Internet freedom. more    
 
NED welcomes new Board members 
Robert B. Zoellick, Ellen O. Tauscher, Barry Jackson, and Jayne M. Kurzman have joined the NED Board of Directors after being elected to three-year terms. more  


Jack Joyce This month NED also mourns the passing of a former Board member, John T. "Jack" Joyce (right), who died on Feb. 14. Joyce was the longtime president of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. more 
    

  

Zimbabwe  

NED grantee the Zimbabwe Organization for Youth in Politics has been lobbying policymakers to effectively include marginalized ethnic groups in Zimbabwe's political system. more     

  
Eastern Congo   

Joshua Marks, NED Senior Program Officer for Africa, spoke on "Continued Crisis in Eastern Congo: Perspectives on Recent Developments," at the Great Lakes Policy Forum. more
