Laura Golightly

Senior Director of Financial Management & Integration

Laura Golightly, NED’s Senior Director of Financial Management & Integration, brings 25 years of broad-based US and international nonprofit experience in financial operations management and audit.  Before joining NED in 2014, Laura most recently served in the conflict transformation niche as CFO for Search for Common Ground, and for 6 years prior to that as Pact’s Director of Global Finance, lending her financial expertise to their capacity building activities worldwide in the sectors of health, livelihoods, and natural resource management.  She also served as CFO in the primary healthcare, education and social services field for Mary’s Center for Maternal & Childcare, and supporting those with developmental disabilities at National Children’s Center locally in Washington, DC.  Previously Laura hailed from Chicagoland, where she served for over 9 years as CFO for Pioneer Center for Human Services in the behavioral health and developmental disabilities arena.  Laura is a CPA and CGMA, having started her career in public accounting as an auditor specializing in nonprofit and government clients. She graduated cum laude at North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting, and is a current member of the AICPA as well as the Greater Washington Society of CPAs.
