Sean Easter

PENN KEMBLE DEMOCRACY FORUM FELLOWS

Sean M. Easter is a software engineer at USAID’s Office of Afghanistan and Pakistan Affairs (OAPA), where he develops and manages software that supports USAID programs across OAPA’s entire portfolio. Prior to OAPA, he was an analyst and developer at USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives. 

Mr. Easter is an alumnus of the University of Connecticut and the Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism at Columbia University. After graduate school he attended the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics as a Journalism Fellow. Before graduate school, he worked in Washington at domestic NGOs focused on judicial appointments and media accountability.

He is a proud veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom.
