Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellows Program The National Endowment for Democracy (NED) invites applications to its Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellows Program for fellowships in 2009–2010. Named in honor of the two principal founders of NED, former president Ronald Reagan and the late congressman Dante Fascell, the program enables democracy activists, practitioners, scholars, and journalists from around the world to deepen their understanding of democracy and enhance their ability to promote democratic change. Visiting Fellows Program In recent years, the International Forum for Democratic Studies has hosted a small unfunded Visiting Fellows Program, offering scholars and practitioners with outside funding an opportunity to conduct research and carry out projects at its headquarters in Washington, D.C. The Forum has hosted Visiting Fellows from a wide range of countries, including Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Nigeria, the Republic of Georgia, the Republic of Korea, Romania, and Turkey, as well as the United States.
