Afghan Women’s Network (AWN)

ANPA will develop and produce 70 half-hour radio show programs, in Dari and Pashtu, to be broadcasted by independent and governmental radio stations. The programs will cover the rights and responsibilities of government bodies, the parliament, provincial councils, and civil society groups.

ASC will conduct 25 civic education workshops on human rights, democratic values, political participation, women’s rights, and national unity. Afghanistan Women Services and Education Organization (AWSE)

AWSE will conduct a training-of-trainers workshop for 16 Afghan women, followed by 40 workshops for 800 men and women on women’s rights and women’s political participation. Health and Development Center for Afghan Women (HDCAW)

Vital Voices Global Partnership

To enhance leadership and communication skills of newly-elected Afghan women parliamentarians and promote networking and coalition building among women legislators inside Afghanistan. Vital Voices will conduct an intensive four-day workshop on leadership and communication skills. Welfare Association for Development of Afghanistan (WADAN)

Women Activities and Social Services Association (WASSA)

Collective of Families of the Disappeared in Algeria (CFDA)

BWA will conduct a year-long series of 24 training workshops for 360 Baghdad women leaders representing NGO activists, students, and government employees. BWA will also conduct a civic awareness campaign using posters and leaflets about the role women can play in this process.

To continue to conduct democracy and political awareness courses for women. BAR will conduct two series of training courses for 240 women leaders and activists in Babel. BAR will also expand and improve upon its website to report on women’s conditions in five southern provinces. Civil Society Initiative (CSI)

Hammurabi Organization for Human Rights and Democracy Monitoring

To alleviate sectarian tensions and promote national unity in Mosul, as part of a conflict mediation project in the six most volatile governorates of Iraq. Relying on newly completed comprehensive population mapping of target governorates, IBDAA will employ incremental conflict resolution strategies and will initially target small homogenous groups of participants. As the program progresses, commonalities among the disparate groups of participants will be revealed.

International Youth Association (IYA)

IYA will conduct 30 two-day seminars for 900 participants representing media professionals, political party representatives, national security officers, civil society representatives and religious leaders from major Iraqi provinces . Iraq Civic Action Network (ICAN)
