To reinforce the institutional and organizational capacities of Nigerien NGOs to advocate for good governance. Africare will identify and train ten Nigerien NGOs in all aspects of grant management and implementation, with assistance from last year's NGO partners. Africare will then award small sub-grants to NGOs that successfully complete the training program.
Groupe Anfani
$35,000
To increase public access to independent, non-partisan news and build the capacity of independent journalists in Niger. Groupe Anfani will broadcast programs focusing on civic education, social justice, religious tolerance, the electoral code, corruption, good governance, and democracy through its network of five stations. Groupe Anfani will also train 18 journalists who will be responsible for programming in different cities.
