To convene a two-day conference in India on India’s role in international democracy promotion efforts. The conference will provide participants an opportunity to learn about the international experience of supporting democracy through nongovernmental efforts, about the experience of activists in countries who have been recipients of such support, and about the institutions and processes that have enabled Indian democracy to grow over six decades.
