To strengthen municipal councils, provide reform-minded Saudis with resources and opportunities to share experiences of democratic reform, and develop a long-term strategy for encouraging political reform in Saudi Arabia. NDI will conduct in-country meetings with the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (MMRA), conduct leadership training workshops for 15 Saudi municipal councilors, and help organize a strategic planning session between municipal councilors and the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
