BonSem will provide training workshops in Muyinga and Bujumbura Rural on advocacy and monitoring, will continue radio broadcasts, and publish a newsletter.

Peace Centre Giramahoro

To promote civic education among Burundian youth. Giramahoro will organize two seminars for young people addressing peaceful cohabitation and democratic values in post-conflict Burundi. Giramahoro will produce a code of conduct for young people who will be involved in Burundi’s 2010 elections based on the seminars. Giramahoro will round out activities with a regular radio program on civic responsibility.

Réveil a la Promotion des Jeunes (RPJ)

To contribute to the social cohesion and interethnic cohabitation in northwest Burundi. RPJ will organize a retreat for 60 Hutu and Tutsi youth and train them on the mechanisms for the protection of victims of ethnic discrimination. RPJ will then assist the youth association to address the causes of conflict in their respective communities. RPJ will also organize monthly radio broadcasts on non-violent conflict resolution and peaceful cohabitation.
