To strengthen the outreach capacity of Malian legislative caucuses and that of targeted committees. NDI will augment its current legislative program through support for the following activities: joint policy briefings for caucus and party leaders and members of targeted legislative committees, development of position papers on key social and economical issues, and organization of public hearings to enhance the ability of targeted parliamentary committees to contribute to policy reform with input from citizens.

To enhance the capacity of Malian legislators to contribute to policy reform that targets citizens’ needs. NDI will organize mini-retreats to assist caucus members to consider issues that could raise the effectiveness of their party caucuses. NDI will also work with caucus members to develop legislative agendas and to prioritize policy issues to be debated in parliament.
