The Solidarity Center and its partners will support trade union organizing inside free trade zones and industrial parks, maintain information and monitoring hubs, conduct trainings and awareness raising programs, advise the government in the formulation of legislation to protect workers rights and voting rights of migrant workers, and conduct training programs on women’s leadership.

Association of War Affected Women

To build the capacity of women leaders to advocate on behalf of their communities, hold elected officials accountable, and promote good governance. The Association of War Affected Women will conduct trainings on advocacy and campaigning in an effort to empower women to play a more prominent role in politics and civil society.

Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE)

To foster a more open and informed debate on economic issues facing Sri Lanka and increase access to information on economic policy issues for both public and parliamentary uses. CIPE, in partnership with the Pathfinder Foundation, will publish briefing notes from noted economists and quarterly assessments of economic policies adopted by parliament, and organize workshops, town hall meetings, and seminars.

People's Action for Free & Fair Elections (PAFFREL)

To raise awareness about fundamental democratic and human rights norms, including voter rights. PAFFREL will organize programs designed to encourage local communities to engage in dialogue around these issues in eight districts in Sri Lanka.
