To strengthen the institutional and organizational capacity of political parties; develop political leadership skills; and enhance political party’s constituent outreach through a combination of consultations, training, and polling. IRI will strengthen the institutional and organizational capacity of political parties as well as the ability of parties and officials to address the needs of constituents after conducting a comprehensive, in-depth assessment of individual parties in Timor-Leste.
National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI)
$150,000
To enhance the capacity of eight village councils to monitor the planning and implementation of local development and infrastructure projects. NDI will strengthen the capacity of these councils to track, record, and report on the status of local development projects and to communicate their finding to district and national governments.
