International Republican Institute (IRI)
$250,000
To strengthen political parties, increase good governance, IRI will work with the parliament and political parties to increase public input in decision making, empower civic society to increase awareness of important issues among elected officials, and expand the political space for increased participation of youth.
National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI)
$240,000
To promote a more constructive working relationship between the coalition, opposition, and smaller parties. NDI will provide comparative information and best practices identified by the relevant experts. NDI will also work with political parties, parliamentarians, academics, and civil society to evaluate Mongolia’s legal electoral framework and provide feedback and recommendations for possible legal reforms.
