To educate local communities in Diffa, Maradi, and Zinder on citizen rights and responsibilities in a democracy and the benefits of good governance. Association Timidria will organize a series of educa­tion workshops in 10 villages in Diffa, Maradi, and Zinder that will underline the rule of law and good governance. The workshops will focus on citizen rights and responsibilities, the decentraliza­tion process, the role of elected of­ficials and government administrators.

National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI)

To enhance the capacity of the National Advisory Council (Conseil Consultatif National - CCN) to facilitate open and in­clusive dialogue among political actors on key pieces of legislation and other aspects of the transition process. NDI will also work with the CCN, civil society orga­nizations and media outlets to promote increased citizen awareness and engage­ment in transition and election processes, through civic and voter education.
