To increase the political participation and representation of women in local government. Focusing on three regions of the country, the organization will strengthen the leadership and governance skills of women councilors through trainings on the competences and functions of government bodies, policy proposal development, local government budgeting, and local government accountability and transparency. It will also foster the substantive representation of women in decision-making, encourage inter-institutional collaboration, and support a peer-mentoring network.
Promoting Civic Engagement in Legislative Advocacy

To promote government accountability, improve public policy debate, and strengthen civil society’s role in decision-making processes. The organization will monitor parliamentary initiatives, select relevant draft laws for further input, and support civic groups in conducting legislative advocacy strategies through technical assistance, analysis, and recommendations. It will also assess the implementation of the law on public consultation, and engage in dialogue with state institutions on recommendations for facilitating greater public engagement in policymaking.
Promoting Judicial Transparency and Accountability
Center for Public Information Issues

To promote transparency and accountability in the judicial system. The group will conduct a national monitoring program of five courts, evaluating their compliance with legal requirements. Based on its findings, the group will produce a set of publications, including a comparative study and thematic evaluation, convene public events to highlight reforms, and engage in a policy and media advocacy campaign to improve court functioning.
Promoting Transparency in Public Spending
Albanian Institute of Science

To promote accountability and transparency in public spending. The group will maintain and expand a platform that enables the public monitoring of tenders and procurements awarded by local and central government institutions. The website will provide visualizations of local government spending, and will enable analysis of potentially unequal or non-competitive procurement processes, thereby promoting government accountability.
Promoting Youth Accountability And Inclusiveness
National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI)

To promote cross-party youth initiatives fostering transparency and increase youth engagement in improving party accountability in policy- and decision-making. The institute will assist political party youth to expand their meaningful political participation. Through cross-party training on anti-corruption initiatives, mentoring, and consultations with party youth forums, young politicians will promote structural and procedural reforms within parties that improve accountability, strengthen relationships with senior party officials, and promote policies of interest to youth.
Raising Awareness about Accountability
Balkan Investigative Reporting Network Albania

To expand the reach and impact of investigative reporting on accountability and transparency issues. The media organization will produce in-depth investigations for its bilingual website and an accompanying monthly print publication, as well as provide mentorship for journalists in investigative reporting, data journalism, and data visualization techniques. The group will continue to maintain a public database of documents collected during its investigations.
