Description: To enhance youths' knowledge of and participation in political and civic processes. The Institute will continue its youth civic education program, Ana Usharek, across universities in the West Bank. Students will apply skills from Ana Usharek to convene a Palestinian National Priorities Forum and present policy proposals to a panel of leading local experts and officials. The Institute will also provide technical and financial support to a local civil society partner to lead youth-driven local advocacy campaigns and community activities to strengthen municipal accountability.

Description: To build the capacity of political parties to enhance the inclusion of women and youth in party leadership positions and decision-making processes. The institute will help parties establish internal inclusion mechanisms and support women and youth members in leading internal party discussions, developing citizen-centered party platforms, and engaging with community members in civic action. By enhancing their inclusion of women and youth, Yemen's political parties will demonstrate greater responsiveness to citizen needs, increase cooperation across party and ethnic lines, and promote a more sustainable peace in a post-conflict environment.

Project Title: Improving Economic Stability and Governance from the Bottom Up

Description: To strengthen the voice of the private sector to advocate effectively for the improvement of the business climate in Afghanistan through legislative action; to enhance the capacity of business chambers to serve as a representative business association for Afghan businessmen and women; and to expand public-private dialogue on the local level to improve local governance. The center will establish business and anti-corruption Caucuses in the new Parliament, work with local partners to provide technical assistance to the new business chamber landscape in Afghanistan and continue to expand its public-private dialogue to include improving local governance.
