To promote civic engagement at universities and to support and strengthen a network of universities that promote civic engagement and empower students to become agents of economic, political and social change. The grantee will train faculty and students on civic participation, launch national and regional competitions to reward and encourage universities promoting civic engagement, administer a mini-grants competition for student civic initiatives, and facilitate the exchange of best practices between universities through research and network-strengthening.
