To conduct effective outreach and advocacy campaigns and encourage public debate on Macedonia’s democratic progress. AGTIS will conduct a media training program and produce a manual to help civil society activists develop creative ways to raise public awareness about key challenges facing Macedonia. AGTIS will also produce two programs on the state of civil society in Macedonia to be broadcast on local television stations.
Centre for Regional Policy Research and Cooperation Studiorum

To assess the impact of the implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement on the rights of ethnic minorities in Macedonia, and to propose policies for bridging the gap between minority communities and their local government institutions. Studiorum will publish a background study and policy paper, disseminated through an awareness-raising campaign, including a short documentary film, TV and Internet advertisements, and a music video.
National Democratic Institute for International Affairs

To help Macedonia’s civil society engage in the legislative process in parliament to ensure transparency and citizen participation. Revised Rules of Procedure and the new Law on Parliament have opened parliament to input from nongovernmental organizations, which must develop stronger legislative strategies and skills, better communication, and enhanced cooperation with members of parliament to play a more robust role in the legislative process.
Ohrid Institute for Economic Strategies and International Affairs

To promote dialogue and cooperation between young political leaders in Macedonia and develop the skills necessary to participate in decision-making processes. The Ohrid Institute will organize a series of three public events to facilitate discussion between young political leaders, promote conclusions reached at the discussions, and provide participants with internship opportunities.
Youth Cultural Center (MKC) - Bitola

To encourage youth civic involvement and foster cooperation and collaboration between young people and local government in Macedonia. Working in six municipalities, the MKC will train, place, and assist 50 youth in three-month-long volunteer positions working with local governments. The MKC will also help public institutions to develop their volunteer and internship programs, and train volunteer coordinators to effectively place and manage youth volunteers.
