To train secondary school educators in Turkmenistan in interactive teaching methods and introducing these methods into the curriculum of Turkmenistan’s schools. The project will consist of training, consultations, a pilot program to institute these methods throughout an entire school, and support for three resource centers.
Rule of Law

To provide free legal assistance to the most vulnerable segments of the population in the regional capitals of the four administrative districts. The organization will conduct monthly seminars to inform citizens about their rights under domestic and international law, and produce informational brochures.
Human Rights

Human rights programs in Turkmenistan will monitor human rights, provide free legal aid services, maintain a database of Turkmen legislation, and contribute to human rights monitoring reports. One program supports an annual meeting of international activists to assess the current state of human rights and develop concrete strategies to campaign more effectively.
NGO Strengthening

To support environmental and youth civil society activists in Turkmenistan by providing seminars and other activities for youth and administering a small grants program to fund civic programs initiated by local activists throughout the country. The organization will also develop online associations for Turkmens to discuss educational and civic opportunities and create an advisory council of Turkmens to provide independent analysis of civil society programs.
Freedom of Information

To promote democracy through the training of social activists, disadvantaged members of society in need of skills and employment, and members of ethnic minority groups. The organization will operate a network that provides independent, multi-lingual information about news, current events, and human rights to the citizens of Turkmenistan.
