To build the capacity of marginalized youth to become active participants in Algeria’s political, economic and social life. ADEJ will train 20 marginalized youth on leadership skills, social entrepreneurship, project development and youth political participation; hold 10 field visits to local businesses and community-based organizations; and assist participants in identifying development projects, employment and internship opportunities.
Algerian League for the Defense of Human Rights

To promote women’s rights and raise legal awareness through the publication of a guide. LADDH will convene a national conference on women’s rights for 50 civil society activists and legal experts, publish a legal guide for the promotion of women’s rights in Algeria, and organize four regional seminars for 200 grassroots activists to publicize and distribute the guide.
Amusnaw Cultural Association

To strengthen the capacity of local civil society organizations to promote gender equality through the use of international human rights tools and mechanisms. ACA will conduct a capacity building program for 15 civic groups in the Kabylie region and publish two studies on Algerian perceptions of gender equality.
Collectif des Familles de Disparu(e)s en Algerie

To promote the rule of law, transparent procedures and accountability of the Algerian state for its past human rights violations. CFDA will train 25 coalition members on communication and advocacy strategies, conduct two seminars on international human rights law, and organize four forums on transitional justice mechanisms. CFDA will also provide legal support to families of the disappeared and translate its website into Arabic and English.
