To promote accountability and transparency of the government’s work and decisions as they relate to Morocco’s social policies. REMAPP will build the capacity of five young researchers selected from Rabat and Casablanca’s universities and civil society groups; organize a seminar targeting policy-makers to share its research plan; and publish and disseminate a policy paper that includes the organization’s findings and recommendations.

MWADT will maintain its women’s centers in Tetouan and surrounding rural communities; conduct 25 legal literacy courses for 1,000 women; hold a seminar on the local application of the family code; train 30 activists on advocacy strategies; convene a roundtable on women’s political participation; and publish an annual report.

TMDCW will conduct a pilot capacity building program for 80 civil society activists and elected councilors from four communes, and assist them with the establishment of consultative committees as mandated by the 2008 Municipal Act.
The Women’s Action Union

To strengthen the capacity of UAF to promote progressive policies against gender-based violence in Casablanca. UAF will document cases of violence against women through its Annajda Center; conduct three capacity building workshops for 75 women activists on national and international human rights law; and create a steering committee comprised of women activists and municipal councilors to advocate for progressive policies against gender-based violence.
