Step 1. Applicant Information

In Step 1 of your application, you will be asked to answer the following questions:

  • Proposed Track: Indicate whether you are applying as a practitioner or as a scholar

  • Fellowship Session: Indicate your preferred dates in residence: Fall Session, Spring Session, or Other

  • Level of Fluency in English: Indicate whether Excellent, Good, or Fair

  • Fluency in Additional Languages

  • Affiliation with organizations that receive funding from the NED or its core institutes (NDI, IRI, CIPE, ACILS and NED): Indicate whether or not you work, or have worked for, an organization receiving funding from the NED or its core institutes. If you answer yes, you will be asked to specify the name of the donor and the year(s) of the grant.

  • Other fellowship programs to which you may be applying

  • Anticipated sources of income during the proposed fellowship period (if any)

  • Have you participated in an exchange program in the United States on a J-1 visa in the past two years? If yes, indicate your J-1 visa dates and your J-1 visa sub-category.

  • Have you applied for a Reagan-Fascell fellowship in the past?

  • How did you hear about the Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellows Program?
