Mr. Carl Gershman, President, National Endowment for Democracy, was the featured speaker at the 2011 John B. Hurford Memorial Lecture on March 1, 2011. The Lecture was held at New York University and was cosponsored by NED and the Foreign Policy Association as part of the New York Democracy Forum. Gershman addressed the topic “Democracy’s New Moment: A Forward Strategy for Advancing Freedom in the World“.
