Samlanchith Chanthavong
Senior Director, Core Strategy and Engagement
Samlanchith Chanthavong is the Senior Director for Core Strategy and Engagement at the National Endowment for Democracy. In this capacity, she strengthens coordination, collaboration, and shared strategic direction across the NED and its Core Institutes.
She previously served as the Endowment’s Senior Director of Global Programs, where she shaped cross-regional grantmaking strategies and partnerships that supported democracy advocates worldwide across a range of thematic areas. Earlier in her career, she managed country portfolios in Asia and supported rule of law programming at the American Bar Association. She earned a BA in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MA in International Affairs from American University.
