Tenzin Palkyi

Senior Director for Operations

Tenzin Palkyi is the Senior Director for Operations at the National Endowment for Democracy.

Previously she served as the Director of Programs and Emergency Response and as a NED program officer overseeing NED’s grant-making portfolio in Asia. Prior to NED, Palkyi served as the Senior Policy Advisor for Civil and Political Rights at the American Jewish World Service, where she advocated for advancing political rights in Central America and Southeast Asia. She also served as the Government Relations Officer for the Central Tibetan Administration. She has worked for the Tibetan Women’s Association and served on the Board of the Students for a Free Tibet. Palkyi has over 15 years of experience working with civil society organizations globally.
