Eric Lee is a Professional Staff Member covering the Indo-Pacific for the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee, focusing on South and Southeast Asia, and Taiwan. He was previously Associate Director of Programs at the Project 2049 Institute, where he focused on security issues across the Taiwan Strait. At Project 2049, he led several institutional programs including the U.S.-Taiwan Defense Industrial Cooperation and Supply Chain Security initiative and a senior visiting fellowship with the former Chief of the General Staff of Taiwan’s armed forces. Eric’s writing has appeared in The Economist, NBC News, Foreign Policy, The Diplomat, The Hill, The National Interest, Global Taiwan Brief, and various Project 2049 publications. Eric is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles.
