Mr. William Lukudu

Mr. William Lukudu has five years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a particular focus on civil society development, women’s political participation, civic and voter education, and election monitoring in South Sudan. He has worked for various USAID-funded projects, including a project on good governance, “Localizing Institutional Capacities in South Sudan,” and has served with the New Sudan Students Association. During his fellowship, Mr. Lukudu served as principal researcher for a new initiative of the World Movement’s Defending Civil Society project, illustrating the impact of restrictive legal environments on civil society groups carrying out democracy and human rights work. He also provided programmatic support to NED’s grant-making program in South Sudan, including tracking political developments in the region.
