The Man Who Mends Women is the moving story of Dr. Denis Mukwege and his work at the landmark Panzi Hospital in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Winner of the Sakharov Prize 2014, Doctor Mukwege is internationally known as the man who not only repairs the bodies of tens thousands of women who have been raped during the 20 years of conflicts in the East of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, but works to restore their lives and address the root causes of violence in DRC.
