Sabrina Tsai

Professional Staff Member, Congressional-Executive Commission on China

Sabrina Tsai is a professional staff member at the Congressional-Executive Commission on China currently chaired by Senator Marco Rubio (FL) and Representative Chris Smith (NJ). She has handled the Commission’s governance, civil society, and Hong Kong portfolios. Before joining the Commission, she was a research associate at the Project 2049 Institute, where she managed the institute’s programs and focused on U.S. foreign policy in Asia, U.S.-Taiwan relations, and Chinese foreign policy. She was a fellow in the 2016-17 Future Leaders Program at the former Foreign Policy Initiative. Sabrina earned a MA in International Relations with a focus on Asia from American University in Washington, D.C., and a BA in International Relations from the University of Texas at Austin, where she also completed a Business Foundations Certificate. She studied abroad in the Balkans, where she completed independent research on the role and identity of Chinese migrants in Belgrade, Serbia.
