Serwat Perwaiz
Serwat Perwaiz has over 15 years of domestic and international experience in high-pressure positions in strategic policy, operational, and civilian-military arenas. She is a governance consultant providing analysis of global economic and security scenarios, as well as subject matter expertise on organizational assessments/strategy development; implementation support and technical assistance; performance measurement systems; and stakeholder outreach/collaboration. She has provided advisory services to central government and donor agencies in fragile and conflict-effected states in streamlining public sector programs to meet good governance objectives and to increase the accountability and transparency of programs. Her consulting experience in Central and South Asia includes UNDP, USAID, and World Bank-funded efforts. As a Legal and Business Management Consultant in China, she assisted private entities during China’s opening of the private sector economy and provided assistance to China’s provincial and national law drafting committees on labor law, intellectual property, and economic development of rural areas through cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce. At the Bureau of National Affairs in Washington, DC, Ms. Perwaiz led a comparative analysis of health law.
Ms. Perwaiz has a J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law and a Master of International Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies.
