Building Advocacy Capacity and Empowering Civil Society to Protect Human Rights

This project will facilitate cooperation and coordination among human rights defenders and will foster greater understanding of universal human rights standards and of the mechanisms available to defend those standards internationally. Defending and Assisting Rights Defenders

The organization will provide legal aid and direct assistance to human rights defenders and their families, work with other civil society organizations to improve litigation strategies and methods, and advocate on their behalf, by utilizing its extensive network of lawyers, activists, and other civil society organizations.

Defending Property Rights and Empowering Entrepreneurs

To raise awareness among local entrepreneurs and their employees about personal and property rights, and empower them to protect those rights. The organization will work with lawyers and community activists to develop and carry out training designed to provide entrepreneurs and their employees with legal tools and strategies to defend their personal and property rights, and will build a network among training participants to encourage the sharing of knowledge and coordinate strategies to increase equitable application of the rule of law. 

Developing Digital Technology Networks to Support Civil Society
