Emily Manning

Emily Manning serves as the Policy Assistant on Asia and State Department oversight for the majority offices of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Chairman Bob Corker.  Ms. Manning provides analysis, recommendations, and support to guide the Chairman’s efforts and the Committee’s focus on these issues.  Prior to joining the Foreign Relations Committee, Ms. Manning was a Senior Legislative Assistant in the office of Congressman Curt Clawson handling his work on the House Foreign Affairs Committee as well as military and trade issues.  She also served for two years as a Teach for America corps member and worked in policy interpretation for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. 

Ms. Manning is a graduate of Wake Forest University with degrees in Mandarin Chinese and Global Trade and Commerce, where she authored her thesis on comparative nationalism in China and Russia.
