Katie Abrames

Senior Policy Analyst, U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee

Katie Abrames is a Senior Policy Analyst for the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee covering human rights, international organizations, democracy, refugees and migration, women and girls, and trafficking in persons for Ranking Member Jim Risch. Previously, she held a variety of roles at the U.S. Department of State, including advisor on nominations, and special assistant to a variety of senior advisors including the Secretary and Counselor. She also previously served in the U.S. House of Representatives. She is currently enrolled at the U.S. Naval War College to obtain a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies. Katie graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and is from Charleston, South Carolina.
