Abe Henry
International Relations Officer, U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of International Labor Affairs
Abe Henry serves as an International Relations Officer for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), where he works on child labor, forced labor, and human trafficking issues in Latin America. Prior to joining the Department, Abe worked for USAID implementing partners, supporting economic development efforts and civil society strengthening in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. In addition, Abe has worked in Pakistan on power infrastructure and in north-east Nigeria on humanitarian assistance projects. He began his career at the Department of State, U.S. Mission to the Organization of American States. Abe has an M.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, where he focused on global politics, public diplomacy, and development. Abe also holds a B.A. in Spanish and International Studies from the University of Minnesota, Morris and a Certificate in Human Trafficking from Arizona State University. He is professionally fluent in Spanish.
