Jason Ha
Foreign Affairs Officer, U.S. Department of State
Jason Ha is a Foreign Affairs Officer specializing in sanctions on Africa at the U.S. Department of State. Previously, he served as a Sanctions Licensing Officer at the Office of Foreign Assets Control in the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Before that, he was with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), where he managed the interagency and international coordination for nuclear emergency preparedness. In 2021, he was deployed to multiple states to assist with COVID-19 vaccine distribution. Earlier in his career, he worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he focused on attracting foreign direct investment in collaboration with U.S. Embassies and Consulates worldwide. Jason holds a Master of Arts from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as running, hiking, and biking. An avid traveler, he has visited over 30 countries.
