Corey Broschak

Global Resilience Policy Advisor, U.S. Department of Defense Arctic and Global Resilience Office

Corey Broschak serves as a Global Resilience Policy Advisor for the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) Arctic and Global Resilience (AGR) Office as well as the Program Manager of the Defense Operational Resilience International Cooperation (DORIC) pilot program, the Department’s leading security cooperation initiative focused on partner national security force engagement on issues pertaining to climate, environmental, and operational energy resilience. Prior to DoD, Corey spent 6+ years at The Brookings Institution, most recently as the organization’s Director of Strategic Initiatives and Senior Advisor to the President. His expertise ranges from issues such as climate security and emerging technologies to speechwriting, strategic planning and implementation, and executive leadership support. He is a member of Foreign Policy for America’s NextGen Initiative and is an active mentor for several current and recent graduates of his two alma maters, American University’s School of International Service and Michigan State University’s James Madison College, where he received an M.A. and B.A. in International Affairs and International Relations, respectively.
