Jake Silverman
Legislative Assistant, Office of Congresswoman Nikema Williams
Jake Silverman is a Legislative Assistant for Congresswoman Nikema Williams handling Judiciary, Foreign Affairs, and Homeland Security issues. He has spent 4 years on the Hill, and before that worked in campaigns and taught debating in Hong Kong. His work primarily focuses on issues related to rights and power, and is very proud to have shepherded the creation of the John Lewis Civil Rights Fellowship within the Fulbright Scholarship program. He is a graduate of Brandeis University, where he was President and Asia-Pacific Section Editor of the Brandeis International Journal and studied and worked in Beijing. Jake spends most of his time out of work playing softball or bar trivia.
