Jean Scrimgeour

Director for Operations and Growth, Accountability Lab

Jean Scrimgeour has been the Director for Operations and Growth at the Accountability Lab since 2017. The Accountability Lab makes governance work for people everywhere by supporting active citizens, responsible leaders and accountable institutions. We are reimagining how to build accountability to support a world in which resources are used wisely, decisions benefit everyone fairly, and people lead secure lives. Prior to joining the Lab, Jean has worked as a public affairs and democratic governance specialist in the United States, the United Kingdom and Southern Africa for Rotary, the UK Foreign Office, the Westminster Foundation and Voluntary Services Overseas.  She has a Master’s degree in conflict resolution in divided societies from Kings College in London as a British Chevening scholar and a Bachelor’s in law and international relations from the University of Cape Town.
