Communications Director and Senior Advisor, House Rules Committee Chairman Jim McGovern

Matt Bonaccorsi serves as Communications Director for the House Rules Committee and its Chairman, Jim McGovern of Massachusetts. As McGovern’s Senior Advisor, Matt leads a press team responsible for creating and implementing effective media strategies across McGovern’s roles as a Committee Chairman, Member of Congress, Co-Chair of the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission, and Co-Chair of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China. Prior to his experience on Capitol Hill, Matt served as Deputy Press Secretary for the Senate President of Massachusetts, and as a campaign staffer on the 2012 United States Senate campaign of Elizabeth Warren. He has a Master’s Degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Certificate in International Relations from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
