Rosalind Fennell

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer, Solidarity Center

Rosalind Fennell is a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer at Solidarity Center (SC), the largest U.S.-based international worker rights organization. Within the Program Quality, Learning and Compliance (PQLC) Department, Rosalind supports SC’s global teams partnering directly with workers and their unions to promote dignity in their workplaces, justice in their communities and greater equality in the global economy.  As a published researcher and evaluator, Rosalind has a dynamic background in international humanitarian affairs, covering sectors including human rights, labor/worker rights, democracy, conflict stabilization, civil society, gender, and peacebuilding. Before joining SC, she spent six years in Istanbul, Türkiye where she served as the Deputy Head of Programs at RMTeam International, an international development research firm. At RMTeam, Rosalind managed multimillion-dollar portfolios of operations in collaboration with agencies of the U.S. and foreign governments, multilateral organizations, NGOs and civil societies across the MENA region, primarily in Iraq, Northeast Syria, and Yemen. In 2018, Rosalind worked with ECPAT International based in Bangkok, Thailand, authoring research on the sexual exploitation of children in Georgia, Uganda and across the Pacific region. She also previously managed research on the prevention of conflict-related and gender-based-violence against women and girls in South Sudan. Rosalind holds a BA in Political Science and Black Studies from Amherst College, an MPH in Global Health Program Design, Monitoring and Evaluation from the George Washington University, and an LL.M in International Peace Operations, Humanitarian Law and Conflict from the University of Galway. Rosalind is a member of Black Professionals in International Affairs (BPIA) and a participant in the BPIA Colin Powell Leadership Institute. A D.C.-native, Rosalind is also a member of the Washington Section of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW).
