Sofia Kryshtal

Senior Program Analyst, United States Institute of Peace

Sofia Kryshtal is a senior program analyst at the United States Institute of Peace (USIP), where she contributes to the efforts of the governance, justice, and security team. She works on projects related to security sector governance and reform and coordinates initiatives intended to strengthen cooperation and co-production between the U.S. and Ukraine’s defense industrial bases. With a strong background in international development, humanitarian response, human rights, and security, Sofia has worked with international organizations such as UNFPA, OSCE, and IREX. Sofia holds an M.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Sociology from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. She is fluent in Ukrainian, Polish, and Russian, and has working knowledge of German.
